On 12 November 2005, MIB was a guest of the Redcliffe City Orchestra in a concert at the Clontarf Beach State High School Hall. Redcliffe is located 35 minutes north of Brisbane.

To promote the mandolin and mandolin music MIB gives regular concerts in the Queen Street Mall in the heart of Brisbane's CBD.

Every 12 to 18 months, the Federation of Australasian Mandolin Ensembles holds an exciting week-long music camp. The FAME 2005 camp was held in Melbourne, Australia and 10 members of MIB participated in camp rehearsals, concerts and fun!
